Jammu, July 16: One of the most interesting of the Indian politicians and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah has finally once again missed the opportunity to board the bus of his dreams.
Towards the end of his last stint as Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah developed a serious interest in running for the post of President or the Vice President of India. Jammu, July 16: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s vision of seeing the Line of Control –which divides Jammu and Kashmir into two parts –as Line of Peace has triggered reactions among the BJP circles which has sought to question the Congress stand on status of Jammu and Kashmir –particularly the area under illegal occupation of Pakistan.
While the Jammu unit of BJP was too critical of the statement, its national president Rajnath Singh asked Congress to clarify its stand on Kashmir. He said, the Prime Minister’s statement was violating the Parliamentary resolution on the occupied part of Kashmir.
