EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 20: Barely 20 days after suspension of 63-day long agitation on the Shri Amranth Shrine land issue, Jammu once again reached the brink of eruption this morning the government, or some of its agencies, played a faux paus with the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti. The Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti –which had spearheaded the Jammu agitation –had a scheduled a function to honour and offer assistance to the families of all those people who either committed suicide or were killed during the agitation. The function was scheduled to be held at the Canal Road situation Abhinav Theater –managed of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages –at 11:30 this morning. However, on reaching the venue, the SAYSS leaders, activists and supporters found a huge posse of security forces outside the main gate. The supposed participants of the said function who were invited by cards were not allowed to enter the venue which led to a scuffle between SAYSS supporters and the security forces. EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 20: While the general people in Jammu had just started picking up threads where they had left in last week of June that yet another shut down –though for two days - have come knocking the doors. It is still all a guess work across the town what happened at the Abhinav Theater this morning. The district and divisional administration late this evening said that they had no role, whatsoever; to play in cancellation or disruption of SAYSS’s program supposed to be held at the Abhinav Theater. NIRBHAY JAMMUAL Not the election but the Azadi fever seems to have gripped the Kashmir valley.People in the valley continue to chant rhymes in favour of either Azadi or for Kashmir's incorporation with Pakistan.Are they demanding Azadi from liberal democratic structure ?Are they favouring Azadi from enormous religious freedom they have been enjoying ? Over 50 killed in Islamabad blast

ISLAMABAD, Sept 20: At least 50 people were killed and 100 injured in a massive explosion at the Marriott hotel which was gutted after a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the main gate of the five-star hotel in the heart of Pakistani capital. ARY TV Channel reported that at least 40 people had died in one of the worst terror attacks in the history of Pakistan. The toll is likely to go up, police said. Several floors of the hotel were seen on fire. The Hotel is popular among foreigners and several American Embassy officials were reported to be inside the hotel.
