Jammu, Dec 20(JNF): Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Sanjay Gupta today awarded nine years imprisonment to Dilawar Khan one of accused involved in much publicized Kot-Bhalwal Jail Break case. According to the facts of the case that on December 12, 2006 at Central jail Kot-Bhalwal Jammu the accused Abdul Hai in company of about 47 accused along with Dilwar Khan after forming unlawful assembly and with common object break open the jail and feld from the jail, used criminal force armed with deadly weapons against the hail authorities. The accused caused hurt to jail authorities who were performing their duties as public servants. It was also the case of prosecution that in order to commit the aforesaid offences they used gas cylinders and other explosives to damage the public property. Accordingling FIR NO 70/2006 u/s registered against the accused. After completion of investigation challan was presented. Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Sanjay Gupta after hearing both the sides today awarded two years imprisonment u/s 147/148/149 RPC, two years imprisonment u/s 332 RPC, six months imprisonment u/s 336 RPC, u/s 4/25 Arms Act 3 years imprisonment, u/s 4 of J&K Public Property (Prevention of Damage) Court awarded two years imprisonment. Court further clarified that all the sentences shall run concurrently. |
