| Rs 2 lakhs recovered from Madhu Khullar, no penalty on Aneice Choudhary | | Government has separate yard sticks for Director Health and Principal GMCH | | Sumit Sharma Jammu, Dec 20: Though, Dr Aniece Choudhary has been removed as Head of Department of ENT department of SMGS hospital on Wednesday, but he still haunts as officiating Principal of GMC &H which ultimately hampers the inquiries initiated against him, experts opined. The Government's favour to Dr Choudhary can also be gauged from the fact that though he was enjoying lucrative post of Principal and reportedly taking Non Practising Allowance he was running his nursing home right under the nose of those at the helm of affairs. Incidentally, doctors on anonymity said that the NPA admissible to Aniece is higher and far more than the total salary of ordinary teachers or IV class regular employees of the State Government. Pertinently, in a similar case involving ex-Medical Superintendent of Police Hospital Dr Madhu Khullar, now Director Health Services. She was found running her private clinic under the name and style of Al Firdous in Gujar Nagar and later in Bathindi area. An inquiry was started against her by Vigilance after the complaint that she took equipment from Police hospital to her clinic. The case was later transferred to department and a departmental inquiry was initiated in which , she was penalized with Rs 2 lakh. The lady was also taking NPA at that time. Commissioner Health, MK Dwivedi when contacted said that though, responding to the notice issued against him, Dr Choudhary said that he had not taken NPA, but inquiry in this connection is on and report is awaited. Meanwhile, some social activists held a candle march protest against Dr Choudhary, which started from Ragunath Bazar and had to culminated at the residence of Choudhary, near CM's residence, but the same was foiled by police. |
