| Police allow culprit to go scotfree, JKBOSE chairman orders probe | | Kishtwar impersonation case | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Kishtwar, Dec 20: Kishtwar police today allowed an impersonator Sameer Ahmed Son of Ghulam Mohammad Bohroo resident of Keshwan to go scot free after he was caught by the BOSE officials during routine checking in 10th class private examination at Higher Secondary School Filler. Sameer Ahmed was caught red handed by team of JKBOSE while he was appearing as an impersonator for his sister Rifat Banoo. Kishtwar police high handiness got exposed when Assistant Secretary JKBOSE Office Kishtwar Rakesh Kumar Gupta and Junior Assistant Mohsin Ahmed found the accused appearing for 12th class Political Science paper today at Boys Higher Secondary School Kishtwar under Roll No: 708891. During investigation, it came to the fore that the accused was allowed by the Kishtwar police to move out of police station and appear in the examination. Embarrassed police said that the accused impersonator was released only after furnishing the surety bonds. According to the Assistant Secretary JKBOSE , his sub ordinates handed over the impersonator to police with the request to register an FIR against him and said that he had no knowledge under what circumstances police allowed him to go scot free. He said that police too did not provide them the copy of the FIR and said that the matter was brought into the notice of the higher authorities. Meanwhile Chairman JKBOSE Dr. Sheikh Bashir Ahmed said that he had ordered inquiry into the matter. He said that stern action will be initiated against the guilty teachers found involved in promoting mass copying during examination. |
