Jammu, Dec 20: State Congress today celebrated the victory of the party in Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls and maintaining its position in Gujarat.
Senior Congress leaders and workers who assembled at the party headquarter Shaheedi Chowk here under the leadership of Senior Vice President Dharm Pal Sharma distributed sweets to celebrate the "victory."
The party leaders congratulated the central leadership and Himachal Pradesh Congress leadership for ensuring the victory in the state. They also expressed satisfaction over Gujrat results, where the party maintained its position, "contrary to the claims of the BJP and its sister organizations who had projected a grand victory for the party in Gujrat as well as Himachal Pradesh."
Prominent Congress leaders who joined the celebrations included Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma, MLCs Ghulam Nabi Monga, Ravinder Sharma, MLA Indu Pawa, Hari Singh, S Gurmukh Singh, Om Chopra, Thakur Shiv Dev Singh, S R Sudhir, Manmohan Singh, K L Gupta, Lalita Sharma, Shiv Kumar Sharma, D S Langeh, Abdul Majid Khan, Hari Singh Chib, B B Gupta, Ashwani Puri, Ravi Singh Salathia, Narinder Gupta, Mian Nazir Ahmed, Pranav Shagotra, Dr. Karan Bhagat, Pankaj Chibber, Sanjeev Sharma, V K Sethi, Pandmani Langeh, Sita Devi and Kamal Gandotra.
