| Police nab 17 Pak returnees from Channi Himmat | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 20: In a major breakthrough against infiltrators pouring through Nepal Border, the Police today apprehended seventeen Pakistan nationals from Channi Himmat locality area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Channi Himmat here today. Sources said, "The catch was made after police conducted a raid following specific inputs from reliable sources that some suspects have entered in Jammu via Nepal border and are about to leave for their Home town Kupwara very soon. Sources identified the Ali Mohd and Akbar. Ali Mohd went to Pakistan to get arms training about two decades ago from Srinagar and settled in Muzafrabad. He also got married there and had eleven children from his nuptial relations. During his stay Akbar, a vendor in Muzafrabad , got married with the eldest daughter of Ali Mohd. Later duo the father in law and son in law started working as rikshawpullar in Muzafrabad. Among arrested ten persons hail from family of Ali Mohd and while five members including children belong to his son in law Akbar. Sources said that the suspects are to be deported to Kupwara for further legal action. They were taken into custody where their sustained questioning was in progress till late hours, official sources giving information said. Sources said that they returned in Jammu and Kashmir state to restart their life after availing benefits of Rehabilitation Policy announced by the J&K Government. Pertinent to mention here that the state and centre had authorized only four routes for 'return to mainstream for those went in Pakistan for arms training and benefits will be allowed only to those who come from these routes viz. Poonch- Rawalkote; Uri-Muzafferabad, Wagha Border and Indira Gandhi national International Airport New Delhi whereas the persons coming from unauthorized manner i.e. via Nepal route will not be entertained under this policy. Meanwhile the sustained questioning of the apprehended persons is in progress till last news poured in. |
