| Comm Secy inaugurates book fair at GHSS Shastri Nagar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 9 : Commissioner Secretary School Education Department Farooq Ahmed Factoo today inaugurated two day book fair at Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar. The fair was organized by Directorate School Education Jammu.
About 32 booksellers and publishers participated in the fair. A large variety of books were displayed on the occasion by the book sellers who were drawn from different parts of the state including outside state.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Secretary said that the department has been organizing these activities at regular interval for grooming the knowledge of the students. He asked the students to avail maximum benefit of this book fair and also appealed to the public to actively participate in the book fair for general awareness.
Director School Education Jammu Dev Lata, Personnel Officer Dr. Nirupa Rai, Joint Director Trainings A. C. Aima, Joint Director SE, Principal of the School besides teachers, students were present on the occasion. The fair was highly appreciated by the visiting students and book lovers.
Earlier, Commissioner Secretary alongwith Director School Education and other officers went around different stalls. |
