Army martyrs paid rich tributes before being airlifted to their native towns

Jammu, Jan 9: The dead bodies of army martyrs who gave a daring fight to Pak trooper yesterday before laying their lives for the integrity of nation and later were brutality beheaded by the Border Action Team (BAT) of the 29 Balouch Regiment of Pakistani army in Mendhar sector of Poonch today were airlifted to their native places from Rajouri after a solemn ceremony where senior army officers and jawans paid floral tributes and saluted their bravery. The bodies of the two jawans identified as Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh of Siddi in Madhya Pradesh and Lance Naik Hemraj of Mathura were earlier shifted from forward area of Poonch to Rajouri. Paying tributes to the brave soldiers Deputy GOC 25 Infantry Division Brigadier JK Tiwari said the jawans fought bravely before laying down their lives. Large number of soldiers present on the spot also paid rich tributes to the martyred jawans. After a brief wreath laying ceremony the bodies, wrapped in Tricolour were airlifted in a special chopper to Delhi from where they were airlifted to their native places from technical airport Jammu. Meanwhile according to reports the family members of both the martyred soldiers said they are proud of their brave sons as they laid down their lives in the service of the mother Nation. The father of Sudhakar Singh in Siddi area of Madhya Pradesh said his younger son wanted to join the armed forces since childhood and had spent month long holiday in October. He returned to his unit on October 26 after spending a month long holiday with us. He said he is survived by his wife and four month old son. Mother of Hemraj In Mathura said her son has made her proud as he laid down his life in the service of the mother nation. One of the uncles of Hemraj said they won't be able to meet him but his sacrifice has made them proud. The entire village converged at his house to pay homage to the brave son, he added. The family members demanded strict action against the neighboring nation for this barbaric act and claimed if the nation want to pay tribute to these bravehearts the union govt should stop dialogue process.
