New Delhi, Jan 10: Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has come under a lot of flak for his captaincy off late but he's found support from Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan.
Imran, who led Pakistan to their only World Cup win in 1992, feels it's unfair that the captains are the first ones put in the spotlight. "Captains always get the blame when teams do badly," said Imran in an interview with IBN, "However, in my opinion, Dhoni is a very good captain: he has a big heart and he takes pressure very well."
The charismatic former pacer went on to lay the blame on the squad at MSD's disposal.
"Unfortunately India just doesn't have the bowlers to take 20 wickets. So you can't blame a captain that doesn't have the bowling attack. You need bowlers to win test matches, India doesn't have bowlers.
And the batsmen also failed in testing conditions."
The only criticism he had for the Indian captain is that he bats too low down the order: "He shouldn't bat at number 6. It's too low down the order. He's a good enough player to lead from the front."
