| NPSU rues delay in establishment of CU-J | | | JAMMU, Feb 7: Alleging irresponsibility towards establishment of Central University Jammu (CU-J), the National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) lambasted the state and central government for playing with the sentiments of the people of Jammu region.
Addressing a press conference here today, State President NPSU Partap Singh Jamwal said that the CU-J which has been established only on papers and is completely an eye wash for the people of Jammu.
He alleged that even after commissioning of the University 5 years ago, the construction work to establish the campus has yet to be taken up.
Jamwal said for the establishment of CU-J in Jammu region the students struggled a lot and by delaying the construction of CU-J the government is playing with their patience. He said that if the government failed to start the construction in the upcoming session it has to face the anger of students.
Alleging that the funds meant for the establishment of CU-J are being siphoned off, Jamwal demanded that an inquiry into the expenditure incurred so far should be conducted to know where the amount was spent. |
