Jammu, Feb 11: Today six-days Community Oriented Policing Service (COPS) Course under Pilot Project scheme was started at CTI, Homeguards / Civil Defence, Jammu in which 20 Civil Defence Wardens / Volunteers are participating.The main aim of the said course for involving community with Police for handling internal Security and Law & Order situations. Youginder Koul, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Homeguards / Civil Defence & SDRF, J&K - Jammu who was the Chief Guest of the function highlighted the needs & roll of Civil Defence during inauguration. Sham Lal Sharma, IPS, Dy. Inspector General of Police, HG/CD & SDRF, Jammu also highlighted the Civil Defence activities & increasing the strength of Civil Defence Volunteers in the CD Town, Jammu. The following Police Officers & Civil Defence Wardens were also present on the occasion. Chief Warden CD Town, Jammu, Jia Lal Sharma, Divisional Warden Div. No.1, R.Vijay Magotra, Dy.Divisional Warden and Alok Nanda, Dy.Divisional Warden were present on the occasion. |
