| PHE employees protest against department | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, Feb 11: Hundreds of PHE employees/workers belonging to field operational staff and Daily wager workers of PHE workers welfare association division Kathua, civil/Mechanical held monthly meeting and demonstration in the premises of the Executive Engineer PHE division Kathua under the joint leadership of Joginder Sharma and Baldev Singh, president and chairman respectively of the PHE Workers Association Kathua.
They have warned the department if their long pending demands are not considered within one week the association shall be compelled to undergo for aggressive agitation and the department will be responsible for the consequences. The annoyed PHE workers shouted slogans against the Executive Engineer PHE Division Kathua whom they alleged has failed to disburse the wages of poor and innocent Daily Wagers working in the department.
They demanded that implementation of transfer policy, holding of DPC (Divisional level), Regularization of daily wagers, maintenance of seniority list, to disburse the salary of the employees including daily wagers before 5th of every month, repairing of pumping station, tube well building and Chowkidar quarters etc., issuing of torches, bulbs gum boots, umbrella and other requirement to the field staff and granted to PHE authority under SRO 149 of 1973. |
