Jammu, Feb 11: Demanding regularization of their services, the Jammu and Kashmir Casual Labourers Union Power Development Department (JKCLUPDD) today held protest at Chief Engineer’s office, here on today.
As per press release, hundreds of casual labourers of PDD were gathered outside Chief Engineer office and shouted slogans against authorities over delay in regularization, despite government order.
Addressing, JKCLUPPD its president Shafi Bhat said that the concerned AEEs and Executive Engineers have not cleared the verification of the casual labours yet.
"Principal Secretary Power, Sudanshu Panday had given another order to department, which reads that up-to October 15, 2012 the list of the casual labours is to be published and till date, the same has not been done" he said.
Shafi further that the lists in Kashmir province have been published and but the delay in Jammu has forcing them to take such steps. "Government had sanctioned Rs 6.5 crore in favour of PDD casual labour, but same is being lapsed due to non-seriousness of upper higher of department" he said. |
