Kathua, Feb 24 : The residents of several wards of Kathua town have been facing the water scarcity for more than three days due to the negligence of the PHE department.
They alleged that concerned department is not streamlining the water supply for their localities.
Resented suffering residents of ward number 1, 3, and 4 said that they have been are facing huge water shortage even they don't have water for drinking, bathing and to clean the utensils in their houses. Rano Devi, Vimla Taro, Sushma, Kamlesh, Des Raj, Kuldeep, Shindu, Tarsem, and others said that a motor of PHE is out of order that caused the interruption in supplying of water, and left the people to face the hardships due to lack of water. It was the responsibility of PHE to arrange water for local as early as possible. They demanded that water supply in the area should be immediately restored other they will intensify strike against Department. |
