| Geelani gets new spokesperson in person of NC MP Rattanpuri | | NC, APHC (G) on same page | | Rustam Jammu, Feb 25: Hardcore Pakistani and radical Islamist APHC (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who has been thriving on the blood of innocents since decades under the very nose of the authorities, has got in the person of National Conference (NC) MP Ghulam Nabi Rattanpuri his new spokesperson. Rattanpuri yesterday called on Geelani, a seditionist and disturber of peace and harmony, who, like his ilk, is also responsible for the religious cleansing of the miniscule minority of Kashmiri Hindus and is currently under house arrest in Delhi, and made sure that this event is publicized. After his meeting with Geelani from a distance, Rattanpuri, who on February 22 had told Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that "given a chance, Kashmiris will opt for Azadi (freedom)" and urged him to ask the Union Home Ministry to handover the body of executed Afzal Guru, convicted in the 2001 Parliament terror attack case, shamelessly said that the Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman has been "illegally confined to his residence and his stand on right to self-determination is same for which the NC founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was imprisoned for 22 years". "My conscience prompted…me to pay a visit to a person who is aged and ailing…I talked to him from a distance as policemen deployed outside his residence did not allow me to enter inside his room…Sheikh sahib was put behind bars for 22 years for demanding the right to self-determination for people of Jammu and Kashmir. Geelani sahib is saying the same thing today. The only difference is that people were allowed to meet Sheikh sahib in prison while nobody is allowed to meet Geelani sahib at his residence…I felt sorry for the duplicity of world's largest democracy. This differential treatment and discrimination has contributed immensely to complexity of Kashmir problem and the wedge between Kashmir and Delhi. But we have to continue peaceful fight for our rights", he was quoted as saying. He also referred to his visit to the Geelani's residence on the social networking site Facebook. When asked by a local daily will he resign from the Parliament in the wake of the hanging of Guru, he reportedly said: "At present I am something and if I resign I will be nothing and nobody will pay heed to what I say". Four things were clear from what he did, said and wrote yesterday. One, Rattanpuri practically joined the Geelani camp. Two, he made it abundantly clear that Geelani and the NC leadership are on the same page, as both stand for "right to self-determination". Three, the new spokesperson of Geelani considers Indian democracy as sham and fraud. Four, Rattanpuri, like others in the NC, including the party working president, president, additional general secretary and others, are exploiting and misusing their official positions to the hilt to wreck the polity not only from within but also from outside. It's a dangerous situation. It's dangerous and frightening all the more because it is extremely difficult to deal with the enemy within. What is the BJP doing to expose the NC leadership? What is the Panthers Party doing to controvert the baneful influence of the NC on the State and national politics? As for the Congress, less said the better. |
