Jammu, Feb 25: Principal Secretary to Governor, Naveen Choudhary who accompanied the Governor to the prize distribution function of the All India Inter University Korfball Championship at Jammu University campus was meted a raw deal by the host Department of Physical Education, annoying the senior IAS officer who till recently was the officiating Vice chancellor of the SMVD university.
Sources disclosed that during the customary bouquet presentation, the organizers presented the bouquet to Choudhary after the university deans and officers in breach of protocol. Though Choudhary accepted the bouquet from Director Department of Physical Education Dhian Singh, his body language expressed his displeasure over the breach of protocol.
The worst was however still to follow. When the master of ceremonies Vijay Attri announced presentation of bouquet to the Director Physical Education Guru Nanak Dev University who was also present, the director picked up the same bouquet which he had presented to Naveen Choudhary as the organizers had run out of bouquets and presented it to the Director GNDU which further infuriated the Principal Secretary. |
