| From terrorism to Gandhian philosophy, Yasin Malik lives on hypocrisy | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 25: The hypocrisy of the separatists has for decades hoodwinked innocent Kashmiris by igniting emotions and stirring up religious sentiments but while common people of the Valley faced miseries and hardships, they privately led lavish, bountiful lifestyles away from the Valley.
Terrorist turned hardliner separatist leader, who off late is self-claimed Gandhian, Yasin Malik, who leaves no occasion to blame India for alleged atrocities and doesn't hide any pretention of making Kashmir a Islamic State, lives a secured and liberal life with all strings of 'good things' attached to it.
Yasin Malik's spouse has an artistic mindset, and there is nothing wrong in it. The terrorist turned Gandhian has not dared to stop her from pursuing her passion by citing or evoking self-serving description of a religion.
But he had never come out straight and bold when the voice of young budding Kashmir girls was gagged by some lunatic fundamentalist elements, Yasin was afraid to come out in support of these girls, because this is constituency (hardliner, fundamentalists) which he is building and to whom he reaches out. He has major role for the building up of orthodox and fundamentalist mindset in Kashmir as picked up gun, which resulted in exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, which took out the multi-cultural mindset from the Valley.
The same Malik does go on vacations abroad, enjoys the weather and roams freely with occasional shopping in the western countries, which he despise in every public meeting in Kashmir and blames them for the perceived ill the Kashimir is facing.
He is vocal and vociferous in attacking the US and western world for not helping in the so-called settlement of 'Kashmir' and also for supporting India for its alleged 'suppression' of Kashmiri people, but doesn't shy from enjoying the fruits of democracy to which both the US and western world and off course India swear by as a religion. It's because of the democracy that Yasin Malik has the audacity to critcise India, but the voice of dissent, so natural to democracy, is either stifled and those who speak about -read mainstream parties- are termed as agents of India.
Yasin Malik proudly shares the dias with dreaded terrorist Hafiz Sayeed in Pakistan but also shares the latest haute-couture from designers streets of either Dubai or western world. Gandhi, proudly lived by philosophy in which he belived. He believed in non-violence and devised it a strategy to British and didn't touch any of the English clothes or the accessories of the modern world at that time.
Her wife also sweared by his husband and didn't indulge in luxury, which unlike Yasin they could afford, but chose the path for the real and genuine freedom of India, not like Yasin who carries the badge of separatist but makes it a point that good things in life are not separated from him. |
