Rotary Club's 'Go Polio' campaign receives overwhelming response

RAJOURI, Feb 24 : Rotary Club, Rajouri's 'Go Polio' campaign today received an overwhelming response from the general public to administer polio drops to children below the age of five.
A special polio booth was established at Gujjar Mandi Chowk, Rajouri by Rotary Club where Additional D C Rajouri Matloob Khan launched the campaign by administering polio drops to a child. While talking to media persons, President Rotary Club Rajouri, Lokesh Bakshi said that Club set up a polio booth with the assistance of District Health Society and hundreds of kids were administered polio drops here. Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri Dr Zahoor Shawl launched the second phase of pulse polio campaign from District Hospital Rajouri this morning/
As many as 678 polio booths were established in the district where near about one lakh children were administered the polio vaccination to eradicate this deadly disease from Rajouri.
