Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 25: Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) organized a debating contest amongst the Department of Mana-gement Science and Department of Computer Sciences on "Is Reform required in Raising Age Bar of Juvenile in Tackling Extreme Issues or Not" here today. The function was presided over by Col. M M Shah, Regional Head, IL&FS. Reena Shahi, Soft Skill Trainer and Manish Pathania, Director IIHT were other learned speakers. In past also Training and Placement Cell of IMS had organized a number of such extension lectures. Dr. N S Gupta, Dr Manoj Bhat, University of Jammu, the sessions on stock market by H S Sokhi, Bombay Stock Exchange, Sanjay Nagpal, SMC, Deepu Ranotra. Various workshops on Soft skills were conducted which included speakers of likes Manjot Gill from Mind Bridge Asia, Tanvir Noor from Milestones consulting, Dr Vineeth from Manav Rachna University, Prof. Gee Varghese from Raja Giri B School. Industrial visits to Hewlett Packard HP and HCL plant at Uttrakhand was also undertaken apart from Cadila and Chenab Textile Mill. All these activities as per the opinion of Bhanu Pratap Singh, Training and Placement Officer were undertaken with a view to broaden the academic horizon of students to correlate their theory with practice. |
