UDHAMPUR, Feb 25: Due to continuous strike of Safai karamcharies of Municipal Council Udhampur, members of Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Jiyo aur Jeene Do (JAJD) launched sanitation drive in the Shah Market Bus Stand Udhampur. Speaking on the occasion, a volunteer of the Tariq Shah expressed deep concern over the sanitation woes of Udhampur town. He said that it is our moral duty to keep Udhampur city clean. Shah said that due to continuous rain for the last four days, sanitary woes of Udhampur have multiplied. He further said that through this cleanliness drive, NGO said that the city belongs to them and it is their moral duty to keep it clean. Shah appealed with folded hands to Safaikaramcharies to soften their attitude keeping in view the prevailing condition of the city. Shah said that city also belongs to them as the same belongs to other. In the end, all the members of NGO appealed to the administration concerned to find out the solution of the genuine demands of the Safaikaramcharies so that city may get rid of the refuse and foul smell. Sanitation drive was also attended by members of NGO namely Rohit, Nasir Hussain, Dr. Shekhar, Vijay Gupta, Manik, Aftab, Keshav, Ravi Jandial,Tarun Mehra, Raj Kumar, Akshay Gupta, Nitish Ali and others. |
