Kishtwar, Feb 25: 10 days tour (Watan ki Sair) of Maulvis under Operation Sadbhavna was flagged in here on Monday. The tour was organized by headquarters counter insurgency force Delta. As per defense spokesperson, a group of 25 Elders and Maulvis (Religious heads) belonging to remote and far flung villages of Kishtwar District was today flagged in by MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori at Helipad Kishtwar in presence of Commandent 9 sector RR Kishtwar Brigadier Hatish Kholi, SP Kishtwar Kulbir Singh, CO 11 RR Karan Singh and other civil and official dignitaries.
"During the 10 days tour, these 25 people were taken to Delhi, Bharatpur and Ranthambhore on an educational cum motivational tour, beside at Ajmer Sherief pilgrimage of Khawja Gareeb Nawaz" he said. MLA, G M Saroori while addressing the ceremony appriciated the security forces for providing an opportunity to elders and religious to see for themselves how peace and tranquility in other Parts of the country had ushered in prosperity, an aspect which Jammu and Kashmir was presently lacking. |
