Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 25: Reno-wned Urdu writer and poet from Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Liaqat Jafri has been nominated as member of 'The Film Writers Association of India(TFWAI)'- a main body of film writers, poets, screen play writers others. According to press release, the announcement in this connection was made by Anjum Rajab Ali Convener of the Association today during proceedings of 3rd three day India Screen Writers Conference inaugurated here this morning by renowned film writer and poet Javed Akhtar . Tom Schulman vice president of writer's guild of America, and script writer of Oscar winning movie 'Dead Poets Society' was also present on the occasion. Dr. Liaqat Jafri was invited to this prestigious conference after he has came to limelight for his lyrics of Hindi feature film 'The Attacks of 26/11-an upcoming Indian crime-thriller movie based on the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film has been Directed by prominent film maker of India Ram Gopal Varma. The film is slated to have a worldwide release on 1 March 2013. The leading filmmakers/ lyricists/ script writers such as Gulzar, Govind Nehlani, Javed Akhtar, Anurag Basu, Anurag Kashyap,Ashotosh Gova-rikar, Bejoy Nambiar, Reema Kagti, Habib Faisal, Jabbar Patel, Vipul Shah, Vinay Shukl, Sudhir Mishra, Kamlesh Panday and Anjum Rajab ali and others are attending the conference. |
