| AJKPC welcomes honorarium for Panchayat members | | | ET Plus Report
Jammu, Mar 6: All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) has welcomed the decision of state government sanctioning honoranioum to elected Panchayat members.
Addressing a meeting, Chairman Shafiq Mir termed the honorarium projected for Panchayat members in budget as their first victor, however he made it clear that until and unless Panchayats would not be fully empowered they could not deliver anything to the public.
AJKPC general secretary Anil Sharma said that though it was not satisfactory but a good beginning and its all credit goes to all the members of Panchayat Conference who raised the voice of Panchayats in a forceful manner. |
