Jammu, Mar 6: Bishnah police have arrested three persons including a Revenue official (Patwari) and a Delhi Police cop for allegedly grabbing land after forging the documents of the said spared of land. Meanwhile, Crime Branch registered a case against four persons including Naib Tehsildar Samba and Patwari (revenue officials for preparing forged documents to give benefit to Reeta to manage ReT job.
According to sources Bishnah police, the accused have been identified as Subash Chander alias Raju son of Vaishno Dutt of Chack Jarala presently serving as constable in Delhi Police, Revenue Official (Patwari) Kewal Kumar son of Paras Ram of Sandhi, Samba presently posted as circle Bahu Fort Jammu and Narinder Pal Singh alias Kaka son of Lal Singh of Chohala.
"Manhunt is on to arrest the fourth accused namely Sohan Singh," police sources said. They further added that three arrested accused have been booked against case FIR No.22/2013 u/s 420,467, 468, 471 RPC and further investigations are on.
Police sources said the trio was apprehended following land in police lock up on the complaint of one Satpal Singh son of Gurdit Singh of Kashipur, Baramulla who in his complaint has alleged that his land under khasra no- 181 measuring 4-13 marlas falls in village Jarala Chack was grabbed by unknown land grabber who with the help of Revenue officers managed to prepare forged document of the said land. SDPO RS Pura Dewakar Singh when contacted confirmed the reports and said that investigation in the case was in progress. Bishnah police, police sources said, during the course of investigation came to know that one Mulkh Raj son of Des Raj resident of Kotli Mianfateh met with Subash Chander and promised to provide a suitable piece of land to him and got Rs 50,000 from him as first installment. Later, he hatched a conspiracy with the Patwari Kewal Kumar and as pre planned conspiracy the duo produced two characters namely Narinder Pal Singh alias Kaka and Sohan Singh son of Roop Singh residents of Chohla and manage to get forged attorney. The accused Patwari , issued fard in the name of Subash Chander and got the mutation done. While the process of the fraud was in progress, Mulkh Raj was arrested on the charges of selling banned intoxicants and dispatched to Central Jail.
After the land fraud erupted, Tehsildhar Bishnah cancelled the mutation. The investigation of the police was in progress and more arrests expected.
Meanwhile, acting upon complaint lodged by one Rekha Rani of Malani against four persons including Naib Tehsildar Samba Yashpaul, Patwari of Halka Malani Bishan Dass, Reet Sharma and Tarseem Lal for allegedly forging documents to give benefit to Reeta in the shape of managing job of ReT. Reeta who is actually a resident of village Karwal managed to get job of ReT through a forged document showing her as resident of village Malani.
The complaint filed through lawyer Kovind Khosla who attached official documents by obtaining the same through RTI. Based on the complaint court order Crime Branch (CB) to lodge FIR against the officials under sections 108, 120 A, 167, 181, 191, 192, 193, 197, 198, 199, 200, 416, 420, 420 A, 463, 466, 468, 470, 471, 500, 504 and 506 RPC after investigating the matter. |
