| Renal dialysis kick starts in Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar | | |  et plus report
Jammu, Mar 6: For the first time Renal Dialysis was started in Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar under the supervision of Director Health Services Jammu MadhuKhullar today. Appreciating the efforts of Medical Superint-endent Dr. Romesh Gupta & his team she stressed that the starting of Dialysis facilities in Gandhi Nagar Hospital will be great boon for the patients suffering from Kidney ailments.She further said that now, no patients have to travel to other states or have to pay heavy cost for the dialysis which will now be available readily & free of cost here.
This facility will not only reduce the burden of Medical College but also ease the suffering of people of Jammu &Kashmir,she said. She later monitored the Sixty-six years old chronic renal failure patient named Dheeraj Singh who received first dialysis in Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu. She further added that shortly this facility will be available in Govt. Hospital Sarwal Jammu & District Hospital Udhampur.
The first dialysis was started by Dr. Kaushal Kumar Khajuria, Consul-tant, along with his dedicated team.
