| JKLP holds protest against BDO Hiranagar | | | et plus Report Kathua, Mar 6: Jammu Kashmir Loktantrik Party (JKLP) today held protest against BDO Hiranagar for alleged bungling in MNREGA project area under his jurisdiction. The protest was held in front of DC office Kathua under the leadership of Ranjeet Singh, president of JKLP. JKLP alleged that the BDO Hiranagar Chand Kishore, has been violating the norms and committing misappropriation of MNREG’s funds. They further alleged that corrupt practices were on rampant in the office, long pending wages of labourer who have done work under MNREGA project, due to the negligence of the Graham Sewak and demands the bribe from labourer. “Most of the Graham Sewak are involved in misappropriation of MNRE-GA’s funds by making false bills and job cards, the actual and deserving labourer are misguided and kept away from their right to have work under MNREGA and few amount distribute among the fake job holders by the Graham Sewak in order to plunder the huge amount of funds which are being sanctioned under MNREGA by the union government “they alleged. They demanded an inquiry to be conducted for investigating the property status of all the Graham Sewak who as being charged as most corrupt and dishonest and even staying at same station since long. “Most of the work under MNREGA is going to be happened with JCB machine which is not permitted as per MNREGA norms because it is designed to provide the direct employment to the unemployed hands of the village but no action has been taken by the higher authority so far to stop this violation and corrupt practices of concerned employees and resulting the corruption in the department is boosting” the JKLP claimed. |
