Vikram kick starts construction of school building, dispensary in Ward No 1

JAMMU, Mar 6: Continuing with series of development works for the welfare of general public, Senior Congress leader and former General Secretary, All India Youth Congress (AIYC), Vikram Malh-otra kick started construction work of building complex of Government Pri-mary School and Ayurv-edic Dispensary at Dhont-hali Dhaki, Panjtirthi in Ward No. 1 of Jammu city here on Wednesday.
For construction of school building and dispensary, the funds amounting to Rs. 16 lakh have been provided by Amrit Malhotra, Chairman, Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Cou-ncil from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Malhotra categorically emphasized on the role of development of infrastructure in Urban and Semi-Urban areas of Jammu city, and said that problems of people need to be addressed in time so that they might not suffer for want of civic facilities etc.
Malhotra further assured the locals present on the occasion that more financial support would be provided for other development related works of the Ward and adjoining localities as and when required.
Construction of school building and dispensary was the long pending demand of the locals, who had been complaining of miserable condition of the school as well as the dispensary, which was fulfilled by Chairman, J&K Legislative Council, Sh. Amrit Malhotra.
On this occasion, Vikram Malhotra also met a number of people and listened to their problems and difficulties being faced by them and assured to take up the same with the concerned authorities for their early redressal.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Balveer Singh, President, Ward No. 1; Raj Singh, Ram Sawroop Sharma, Sh. Govind Singh, Sh. Shamsher Singh, Sham Singh, Ramesh Singh, Youth leader Daljeet Singh, Raju, Bunti, Badshah, Lalit, Rani Devi, Shakuntla Devi, Saneha Dogra, Bina, Sapna and others.
