et plus report Jammu, Mar 6: Against the failure of government to concede their long pending demands of State/PSU employees, hundreds of employees hailing from different areas on Wednesday assembled at Press club Jammu and staged protest demonstration under the aegis of State Employees Joint Action Committee (SEJAC). The employees were raising slogans against the government and in favor of their demands. The employee leaders said that the employee community was passing through a very crucial stage as government was not sincere in conceding long pending demands which included payment of balance arrears in cash, regularization of daily wagers, consolidated, contractual and ad-hoc employees, increase in the medical allowance to Rs. 1000/-, removal of pay anomalies in all cadres, review of budgetary support to the PSUs, payment of arrears and timely salary, qualifying service at par with the centre, removal of restrictions on withdrawal of GP funds. The employees took out March towards secretariat but heavy contingent of police failed their attempt to reach civil Secretariat The leaders also warned the State government not to test the patience of the employees and not to be ill advised that the employees cannot come under one platform but redress the grievances without any delay.
