Governor, Chief Minister express grief over Rajouri accident

Jammu, Mar 8 : Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have expressed grief over the loss of human lives in a tragic road accident in district Rajouri.
According to two separate statements issued, the Governor and Chief Minister have conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of all those injured in this tragic accident.
Expressing his serious concern over recurring accidents, the Governor reiterated the need of the most urgent steps being taken for avoiding road accidents which result in a very large number of fatalities every year, besides thousands being injured.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also deputed team of Ministers comprising Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan and Shabir Ahmad Khan to the spot to oversee the rescue and treatment measures.
They announced Rs. One lakh each to the deceased and Rs. 10,000 each to the injured from Chief Minister's Fund.
