| DCC demands power supply in un-electrified villages | | | et plus report
Jammu, Mar 8 : District Congress Committee Kishtwar has demanded power supply to un-electrified villages of tehsil Padder, besides uninterrupted power supply in Kishtwar town. According to press release, a deputation of Kishtwar led by President DCC Pardeep Singh Parihar called upon Minister for Power Vikar Rasool Wani apprised him about the problems related to power sector. During the interaction it was brought to the notice of minister that more than 70% area of tehsil Padder is without electricity and the only grid station at Gulabgar is defunct for the last near about 10 years. Besides providing electricity to un-electrified 22 villages, repairing of the grid station was also demanded. The deputation also demanded that proper electricity be ensured for Kishtwar town and other adjoining villages. Up-gradation of grid station at Kishtwar and several transformers was also demanded by the deputation. After patiently hearing the deputation the minister assured that their genuine demands will be fulfilled. |
