| 4 alleged stone pelters arrested, 7 injured; ambulance damaged | | | ET Plus Report
Srinagar, Mar 8: Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested four alleged stone pelters while seven persons were injured and an ambulance was damaged in the Kashmir valley. A police spokesman said here this afternoon that Police Control Room( PCR) Sopore received a call from a citizen that after withdrawal of Security Forces from the area that some people were pelting stones on passing vehicles at Chanakhan. He said a police party was rushed and 2 stone pelters were arrested on spot. However, managed to escape, he said adding later two more stone pelters were arrested from their houses. He said some miscreants pelted stones on an Ambulance of Langate hospital at Palhallan, Pattan, in north Kashmir causing damage to it. The driver of the ambulance was injured, he said. While chasing the miscreants five persons including three policemen received minor injuries. He said miscreants pelted stones on civilian vehicle near Wayil, in Ganderbal resulting in injuries to one person. Reports of stone pelting were also received from some other parts of the valley. |
