| Lal Singh convenes public grievance redressal camp | | | KATHUA: To listen the grievances of public Member Parliament Doda- Udhampur constituency Ch. Lal Singh convened a public grievances redressal camp here today. The representatives from various Tehsils of Kathua put forth their demands and grievances regarding road connectivity, safe drinking water, electricity, old age pension, widow pension and scholarships.
Ch Lal Singh assured that redressal of the genuine demands and grievances would be done on priority basis.
While addressing the gathering MP Ch Lal Singh said government headed by Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh is committed for the progress and development of the country especially rural areas. Kissan Credit Cards is an important initiative of the central government to provide financial help to the farmers who are the backbone of the nation. He added that UPA government is coming up with food security bill to ensure ration to every citizen and government is committed to raise the socioeconomic status of the rural people to provide them with all the basic amenities alongwith developmental infrastructure.
Ch Lal Singh appealed the Panchs and Sarpanchs to work honestly for the development and progress of their respective areas. He also appealed the unemployed youth to take the benefit of the various state and centrally sponsored schemes to establish their own income generating units.
Ex MLA Basohli Kanta Andotra, Ex Vice President MC Kathua Jatinder Singh, Panchs and Sarpanches and large number of people were among the present on the occasion. |
