Budgam, Apr 8: District Information Centre, Budgam organized an inter school seminar on"Role on Women in Modern Times" at Government Girls High School, Ompora Budgam here today.
As many as 15 students participated in the seminar from various educational institutions all across the district. All the educational zones of the district were represented in the seminar, where Arslan Ahmad from Middle School, Hanjura secured first position, Rakshina from Girls High School, Ompora secured second and Iqra from Middle School, Kanihama School was adjudged the third. Two students were declared runner up from Middle School, Bemina and Middle School, Kanoor.
The students accompanied by their teachers put forth their ideas and opinions on the role, place and responsibility of women in modern times. Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Budgam, Prasanna Ramaswamy was the chief guest on the occasion. District Resource Co-ordinator Community Mobilization Programme was also present on the occasion. He shared his personal experience with the students encouraging them to make full use of educational opportunities to secure their career in today's competitive world. |
