| PSA supports JU class IV employees' demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 4 : Progressive Students Association (PSA) has extended their full support to the agitating class IV employees in the Jammu University (JU) main campus. In a statement a spokesperson of the Association said activists of PSA primarily addressed the gathering of agitating workers in the old administrative block after which they protest in their support in front of the main gate of JU. About thirty 35 took part in the protest outside university main gate. While addressing the class IV workers president PSA JU unit Manik said, "We fully support the demands of regularization of casual workers in the university campus and will work hard for it'. Not only the workers are the sufferers of this agitation but also the students and hoteliers are also the worst sufferers of this move," he said. Marvi another member of the organization said that the hostel mess is closed for the second day, 'hostels are not cleaned, departments are not clean, central library is dirty and a temporary meal is provided by the administration why not the university administration is considering the genuine demands of the class IV workers.' She said that there are workers who are working form the last 15 years in the university 'but not yet regularized, inspite of the policy seven year of the regularization.' "Why is JU administration doing such a grave injustice to the workers who have rendered their sincere service to the university departments, central library and to the hostels?" she asked. |
