| JKTWA hails promotions of teachers, lecturers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 29 : J&K Teachers' Welfare Association (JKTWA) has hailed the release of promotion list of teachers and lecturers. In a meeting of JKTWA convened today, the executive members under the presidentship of its Chairman Mohinder Sharma, hailed the Dy Chief Minister also holding School Education Ministry portfolio, Tara Chand and his team comprising of Director S K Pole and all CEOs for releasing the promotion lists albeit late thus conceding their long pending demand. Hailing the efforts made to adjust the female, physically handicapped and Medical Board certificates holder promoted teachers' and lecturers' suitably in Jammu district which was the demand of the association, the JKTWA president Jasmeet Singh Madaan said however regretted that the male teachers have to face the displacements in other districts which is a matter of concern. Jasmeet urged the Education Minister to fix the displacement period as one year and issued the circular in this regard in the larger interests of teacher's community as it is not possible for the male members to remain away from their families. It is also stressed upon the Education Minister to immediately repatriate all the Masters serving in other districts to their home districts as they have already completed their tenure. |
