ET Report JAMMU, July 29: Anguished by Raj Babbar's '12 rupees a meal' comment, a villager from Jammu's RS Pura Tehsil has sent a demand draft worth Rs. 12/- challenging the congress MP to buy himself a full meal with the amount. Rohit Kumar, Social Activist from village Korotana Kalan RS Pura disclosed that he had sent MP the DD and expected a reply if he could actually buy himself a meal for Rs. 12/-. Congress leader and veteran Bollywood actor Raj Babar On Wednesday last had claimed, "Even today in Mumbai city, I can have a full meal at Rs.12. No no, not vada paav. So much of rice, daal sambhar and with that some vegetables are also mixed." Rohit kumar, who had himself visited Mumbai a few days back has written to Babbar that even a Vada Pav, the traditional street food of Mumbai was being sold for Rs. 50/- at Juhu beach, asserting that it was nothing less than making mockery of the poor people of the country. |
