REASI, July 29 : A 10 day training programme on "Prasad Bag Making" from SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute [SBIRSETI], Reasi concluded today. A group of nineteen women hailing from Sirla Bagga, Pouni, Seela and other parts of the district participated in the programme. With this the Institute completed 4th training programme of the current financial year, which is 25th programme conducted by the Institute in different activities since inception. The certificates were distributed amongst passed out trainees by Dr. M D Bali, State Project Coordinator, Monitoring Cell for RSETIs. In his valedictory address, Dr. Bali expressed happiness about the efforts of the State Bank of India in running the Institute with a missionary zeal with intent to make a conspicuous dent on problem of unemployment in rural areas directly benefitting the poor youth. He advised trainees to sincerely act for creating self-employment and Nearn a living for themselves. S K Kandroo, Director SBIRSETI, Reasi assured of his continued support by offering handholding for two years till their settlement. He told the participants that in the present scenario of rising unemployment, youth from rural areas, with their low income as well as confidence levels, are not in a position to pursue higher studies/trainings, hence are unable to obtain wage employment. |
