Jammu July 29: Police today worked out one case of vehicle theft by recovering the stolen white color Zen Car bearing No JK 02 F-7323 from circular road, police said. As per police report, the patrolling Party of Police Station Peer Mitha during patrolling recovered one stolen white color Zen Car bearing No JK 02 F-7323 from circular road. Police said, "A case in this connection against FIR No 36/13 U/S 457/380/379/427 stands registered on 31/5/13 in the same Police station. ? Four rescued from flash floods in joint operation Jammu July 29: Four persons including two minors who got marooned in flash flood in river Tawi at Belicharana today were rescued in a joint rescue operation launched by army and police authorities, police sources said. As per sources, Police at Belicharana sighted four persons who got trapped in the Tawi Island due to sudden rise of water level. "They were asked not to move elsewhere & stay there till they will be rescued, police said. SSP Jammu, Atul Kumar Goel when contacted said that the matter was taken up the Army authorities and a joint team of Army headed by LtCol Ravindra and Police Party by Inspector G H Kamaal SHO PoliceStation Satwari started rescue operation at 11.00 hrs. All the four persons including 2 minors identified namely as Mohd Shareef (28), Fazand Ali (24) Master Shakeel & Talib ( both minors)were rescued from a marooned island in river and then safely dropped at Beli Charana. Besides this Buffalows numbering 35 were also rescued, police said. During preliminary enquiry the trapped persons revealed that they went today morning to graze their cattle in the tawi island suddenly the water level started rising, subsequently they along with their Buffallows were trapped in the island, police said. |
