Sham inaugurates high school building at Kaneri

Jammu, Aug 5 : Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma today called upon the youth to be equally conscious of their duties alongwith rights for a better world to live in.
"Everyone must discharge his duties with utmost sincerity and devotion to create a healthy and prosperous society" the Minister maintained.
This was stated by the Minister while addressing a large gathering after inaugurating additional 10 class rooms (G+1) and toilet block at upgraded High School Kaneri, Zone Chowki Choura under RMSA constructed with a cost of Rs. 50 lakh.
The Minister said that Akhnoor Tehsil has witnessed massive development in all sectors because of an effective planning adding that various schemes under R&B, PHE, PDD, Health, Tourism and education have been initiated to achieve balanced development in the town.
Responding to local's needs and demands including small bridge connecting the school, boundary wall, road improvement, school upgradation, installation of PHE pipes to uncovered areas and adequate staff at various schools, the Minister said that all these issues would be looked into for an early redreassal. He sought cooperation from the people as well as local representatives in the effort of the government of developing the state to new highs.
The Minister said that the need of the hour is to transform the education system with a view to cultivate the basic values of humanism, democracy, socialism and secularism among the individuals. He stressed upon the teacher fraternity to further improve the quality of education particularly in rural and remote areas.
Later, the Minister visited Ghat Majoor and adjoining areas and interacted with various deputations who put forth their demands and demands related to development of their respective areas.
Among others Chief Engineer PHE, K.K. Gupta, Chief Engineer I&FC, Varinder Badyal, SE Hydraulic, Rajiv Malhotra, XEN, PHE, Irrigation and Flood control, SDM Akhnoor, all sectoral officers, sarpanchs and panchs were present on the occasion.
