Anantnag, Aug 6: Despite a high court ban on construction in Pahalgam and its habitations falling under jurisdiction of Pahalgam Development Authority, Urban local bodies director's privileged personnel assistant backed by National Conference former MLC is constructing hotel worth corers in lush green forest zone of Pahalgam Serchen area. Nissar Ahmad Naik resident of Qazigbagh Anantnag known for his involvement in different scams and scandals, is constructing a hotel worth crores , having capacity of over 60 rooms as the authorities don't dare even to request him to stop constructing the hotel according to the supreme High court decision, in which the court has banned. However, CEO Pahalgam Development Authority, Nissar Hussain Wani claimed that before few days his squad has visited the site and have broken some marble sheets and window panes but the construction continues.
Highly placed sources said that affluent and privileged employee got irked over the action of squad in which he sustained loss of few thousand rupees, called the National conference former MLC who roughed up the CEO over telephone, however CEO denied any kind of brawl with NC leader over phone."After my squad visited the hotel and warned the hotelier to stop the construction, he (NC Leader) being my good friend and his relative called me and at the last moment agreed with me." CEO PDA, Nissar Hussain Wani said, when contacted.Sources said that violator has not even fell down green trees in the area to construct the hotel but has also managed to get macadamized road while floating all the norms to winds.Pahalgam police has not lodged any FIR against violator despite he continues to finalize construction works in the hotel. "We have lodged FIR's against many violators but Nissar Ahmad Naik that we know is constructing a hotel hasn't been booked", a police official wishing not be named said.Sources said that employee is having nexus with employee with the result that the hotel was never raided during the construction period or even before it when he used JCB'S day broad light to plane the forest area besides felling down green trees.Employee was suspended in Year 2011 by then the Director Urban Local Bodies, after found allegedly involved in misappropriation of funds scam and fake appointments scandal but later was reinstated by director SA Laharwal who was himself in soup over allotment of Adda contract to a contractor in Budgam district, who had not participated in bidding process in year 2012.Sources inside the department said that privileged employee who came to lime light during militancy period, as the Hizbul Mujahdeen outfit projected him and with nexus to higher officials managed to get recruited over hundreds allegedly, through which he managed to grab the property worth corers of rupees including four shopping complexes, land in Anantnag and Pahalgam. |
