| Vigilance raids 3 residences, farm house of DyGM JKPCC | | | Sumit Sharma JAMMU, Aug 5: Sleuths of vigilance organization raided the three residences of Suresh Kumar Rekhi, Deputy General Manger in JKPCC in different locations in district Jammu here on Monday. The raid was conducted following allegations of amassing huge wealth disproportionate to his known source of income. If the official sources are to be believed, the raids were conducted following the search warrant was obtained from the Judge, Anti-Corruption Court Jammu and accordingly the three different teams were constituted under the supervision of SSP Vigilance Organization Jammu Shakti Pathak who laid a pre-dawn swoop and conducted searches. Sources further said that the vigilance teams conducted raids at his three residences including Nidheesh Apartments at Channi Rama, 35/2 Channi Himmat and Gol Gujral. The cost of three banglows of the JKPCC's employee is estimated to be touching around Rs 80 crores. Worthwhile to mention here that the same person face suspension following some portion of Assembly hall in Civil Secretariat in winter capital was broken down. The construction of Assembly hall was done under DyGM JKPCC. The inquiry of the incident is on. Besides many houses and buildings, a farm house on 6 kanals of land situated in Vijaypur near Army School and luxury vehicles were detected. Earlier also, the vigilance sleuths raided the office of the Rekhi in division 2 JKPCC and seized the records. During the raids many incriminating documents including bank pass books, accounts, ATM cards of different banks and membership cards of luxurious clubs have been seized by the Vigilance sleuths and the same are being scrutinized for further investigation. SSP Vigilance Jammu Shakti Pathak when contacted said that investigation is on to know how the Government employee managed huge wealth against his known sources of income. The scrutiny of the seized documents is in progress, he said In this a case FIR No. 12/2013 U/S 5(1) (e) r/w 5(2) J&K P.C Act Police Station Vigilance Organization Jammu has been registered. Searches are going on and investigation taken up. |
