BSP criticizes AVM's opposition to caste-based reservation

Jammu, Aug 5: Criticizing demonstration against caste based reservation by India Against Reservations (IAR) and Arakshan Virodhi Manch (AVM) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today condemnded the move of the Arakshan Virodhi Manch which has announced a protest against caste based reservation outside Press Club Jammu on Aug 7.
Addressing the media persons, state president Tulsi Dass Langeh said that the organizations like India Against Reservations (IAR) and Arakshan Virodhi Manch, would only create hatredness amongst the beneficiaries of the Varan-Vaivastha, Caste system because the victims of the caste system remained slaves of beneficiaries of the caste system for centuries together.
"This is a matter of great astonishment that on the one hand beneficiaries of Varan-Vaivastha-caste system wanted to keep intact the caste system and on other hand they are against the caste based reservation and adopted the double standard, which is not acceptable to the victims of the caste system and progressive minded patriots of nation", state president BSP said. He added that the victims of caste system were not allowed to have education, wealth, property, basic amenities and fundamental rights for centuries together.
"Baba Bhim Sahib Ambedkar while drafting the constitution following footsteps of Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phooley and Chhatterpati Shahu Ji Maharaj kept provision of reservation of SC, ST and OBC's defining backwardness classes those are socially and educationally backward called backward classes. People of Jammu and Kashmir are already facing different type of hardships" Langeh said.
Langeh appealed all unemployed educated youth, students, their parents and employees of SC, ST, OBC's to unite under banner of BSP to defeat the nefarious design of communal forces like India Against Reservation (IAR and Arakshan Virodhi Manch (AVM), supported of Manuwadi political parties, like Congress, BJP, NC, PDP and Panthers Party.
He appealed to the workers of BSP to reach masses and educate them about their constitutional fundamental rights, so that they could defeat the Manuwadi political parties supporting the move of anti reservation in the forth coming Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections.
