| Salal Power Station, ITI Patiala initiate skill development prog | | | Early Times Report
REASI, Aug 5: An agreement was signed between Salal Power Station and ITI, Patiala to impart six months skill development training to 20 young, poor and unemployed youths for 'Electrician' trade under their Corporate Social responsibility and Sustainable Development programme. The participants to undergo training have been selected through District Administration's initiative. District Development Commissioner, Reasi Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary showed his special interest in the CSR initiatives of Salal power station. This training is a part of Prime Minister's National Skill Development initiatives. On the occasion, the General Manager of Salal Power Station A.G Ansari expressed his concern over the skill shortage in the country which may affect the performance of industrial development in India. He also explained the help and co-operation being extended by the Dy. Commissioner of Reasi in their CSR initiatives. Dr Raghwendra Pratap Singh, Senior Manager (HR) described the NHPC CSR policy and NHPC initiatives in detail.ShriNasir Ali from ITI, Patiala shared his good experiences with the participants from NHPC at ITI, Patiala and assured for a better training to the participants. The agreement was signed by Dr. R. P. Singh Senior Manager (HR) from Salal power Station and Nasir Ali on behalf of Govt. ITI, Patiala. |
