Samba, Aug 5: A team from police and civil defence jointly rescued a youth who accidently fell into a well in Samba district here today.
"Identified as Deep Kumar alias Kaka s/o Papi Kumar of Mandi Gurgarlian in Samba was rescued after hectic efforts of police, sources said.
Police said that some locals informed them about a youth was seen struggling to come out of a well which is not in use. "The police team with civil defense rushed to the spot and started rescue operation to rescue the youth," police said, adding later he was shifted to the hospital for medical checkup. |
