Kathua, Aug 5: PHE department Billawar has failed to restore water supply facilities in five villages of Serimuni, Katni, Serimuni, Pallan, Mangal and Dralata.
A delegation of residents of these areas told Early Times that for the last several days they are facing problems of potable water shortage in this scorching heat. "It has been occurring since long due to the negligence of the department," alleged Akhtar Ali Sarpanch of Panchayat Pallan Billawar.
He alleged that the PHE department was making people fool over the installation of new motors while the defunct and second hand motors were being installed repeatedly due to which the motor cannot survive more than two or three days.
He said that the project cost of two new motors is around seven lakh "but the department is not sincere to replace the old ones with new motors as repairing of the motors is handsome source of income for them." |
