| Govt to monitor physically verified projects | | Planning Dept to assign 2-4 projects every month | | Arun Singh
JAMMU, Aug 10: In order to ensure timely execution of ongoing projects under various schemes, state government has issued an order directing all concerned departments to conduct physical verification of infrastructural projects and monitoring on monthly basis. Sources told Early Times that Planning and Development Department has issued an order for physical verification and monitoring of infrastructural projects taken up under state, district sector, centrally sponsored schemes under projectized mode, NABARD and other institutional financing by the Directors/ joint directors (planning) of the administrative departments, regional joint directors (P&S), chief planning officers, district statistical evaluation officers and additional district development commissioner of the districts. "The projects involving more than Rs 1 crore of the state sector and Rs 20 lakhs of the district sector will be under physical verification," they said.
They further said that Planning and Development Department will be the overall in-charge through director PA&PM and all the instructions, clarification, modification will flow from the Planning Department. "Planning department will assign two to four projects on monthly basis to the concerned department for physical verification on random basis from the list of works under projectized/CSS/negotiated loan schemes etc.," sources added. Director Planning department will convene monthly meeting to review the reports while minister concern will take quarterly meeting in this regard for inputs about field verification reports and make a presentation in respect of projects monitored in the quarterly meeting. upload all the physical verification reports on the official website of the planning and development reports on the official website of the Planning and Development department at the end of each month," they said. Sources further informed that various information including physical verification, objective, cost, area and population benefitted by the project, adherence of formalities like AAA, technical sanction, availability of land, other clearance required, phasing of completion of projects along with funding pattern and source of funding will be given in it. |
