| Teacher killed by elder brother | | Land dispute | | Saahil Suhail Anantnag, Aug 12: A government teacher was killed by his elder brother over a land dispute in South Kashmir's Hitigam Srigufwara area of Ananatnag district on Saturday evening. According to reports, one 45 year old government teacher identified as Ghulam Mohammad Wani S/o Abdul Satar Wani resident of Hitigam Srigufwara was killed by his elder brother identified as Abdul Razaq Wani aged 50 years old, during a scuffle that took place in their apple orchard. Accused was accompanied by his son identified as Mustaq Ahmad Wani who has allegedly attacked deceased teacher by wooden piece, resulted his on spot death. Locals said that incident took place at around 7:30 PM on Saturday evening and reportedly both the accused fled from the spot. Wani's Wife, Saleema, told ET, "Till late evening we were waiting for his return but when he didn't returned i rushed towards orchard and found him dead. I cried and people gathered after which i don't know what happened." "On being informed, Srigufwara police arrived on the spot and took the dead body of school teacher", locals said. Dead body of the deceased was sent to district hospital for postmortem. Deceased school teacher was known for his loyalty towards his teaching profession and simplistic attitude. He was served by his wife and two teenage daughters. Police has registered a case 55/ 2013 under section 302 RPC and have arrested both the accused in the case.
