| People resents pathetic roads condition | | |

Kathua, Aug 18: Most of the roads in the Kathua town and its outskirts have suffered huge damage due to heavy rains which has exposed the construction agencies as roads have developed patholes posing threat to the lives of people. Rains has badly affected the entire area, particularly Sherpur, Prithivi Chack, Changran, Nank Chack and several villages of high reaches of Billawar, Bani and Basohali remained affected. Sarpanch Yash Paul Raina of Panchayat Badala, a leader of Global Movement Dr. Karam Chand, Madhan Lal Sharma and Kali Dass expressed their strong resentment against the government and district administration for being failed to protect the huge loss which is caused by the recent rains. They told that most of the link roads of the area are washed away, the paddy field totally water logged and eroded, flash flood in nearby Sahar Khud is out of limit and entered into the houses of residents large numbers of houses are collapsed and the villagers are forced to be live in open and under the rains shower. Sarpanch Akhtar Ali of Panchayat Pallan said that the village Beral which is surrounded with Naz and Pini Nalla has gripped by the flash floods in the said Nallhas and delinked the entire village from rest of the Panchayat. He also alleged the administration for being totally failed to construct effective and adequate Bunds around the village to protect from the clutches of floods and left the people to face tremendous threats. |
