| 5 burglary cases worked out, gold worth Rs 9 lakhs recovered | | | et report Jammu, Aug 18: Police claimed to have solved five burglary cases and recovered gold worth Rs. 9 Lakhs on the disclosure of one accused. The accused has been identified as Sanjay Gupta alias Bittu son of Hansraj resident of Shakti Nagar. The accused was earlier under the custody of Police Station Nowabad which had led to recovery of more than 500 grams of burgled gold. On the transfer of his custody to Police Station Bakhshi Nagar, the accused confessed to five more burglaries leading to the recoveries of around 300 grams of gold. SSP Jammu Atul Kumar Goel said that in all, Sanjay Gupta's, arrest has led to the recovery of more than 800 grams of gold worth approximately 30 lakh rupees. |
